Add Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Overview
"Enhance your Cyfrin account security by enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)." This security feature mandates an extra verification step beyond your password when signing in.
Setting Up 2FA
Access 2FA Settings
Follow these steps to configure 2FA on your account:
- Click your profile picture in the top-right corner of the Cyfrin dashboard
- Select "Settings"
- Navigate to security settings using the sidebar on the right
- In the Two-Factor Authentication section, click "Enable 2FA"
- Scan the QR code with your preferred authenticator app
- Enter the code generated by the authenticator
Using 2FA
After completing setup, "you'll need to enter a code when logging in." You can receive this code via SMS or from your authenticator app. You'll also need it for secure actions, such as modifying settings or accessing sensitive information.
