Change Your Password

Overview

Users can modify their Cyfrin Profile password through account settings. A verified email address is required to complete this process.

Steps for Logged-In Users

If already logged in, follow these steps:

1. Select the dropdown menu in the top-right navigation area
2. Choose Settings
3. Click Security in the left sidebar
4. Enter your account's email address
5. Click Change
6. Check your email for a password reset link
7. Complete the password update on the provided page

Password Reset Without Login

Users who aren't logged in should click Forgot Password? on the login screen and follow the prompts provided. Email access to the associated account is necessary.

Creating a Strong Password

When setting a new password, consider these recommendations:

• Balance memorability with difficulty for others to guess
• Use a unique password—avoid reusing credentials from email, banking, or other accounts
• Longer passwords offer better security
• Never use personal identifiers like your email, phone number, or birthdate
• Avoid common terms such as "Password"
• Consider using a dedicated password manager application
• Never share passwords with anyone; change them immediately if compromised

If the system indicates insufficient password strength, try combining uppercase and lowercase letters or extending the length using a memorable phrase.
